Hi!
I am trying to book the Eurostar direct train from London to Amsterdam for Saturday, December 27. I don’t see any direct trains listed on any Saturday in December. Does anyone know if this is normal? Will they be released soon?
Thank you!
Hi!

I can confirm the official Eurostar website doesn’t show any direct trains on that particular day.
Looking at the eurostar site, for Nov and Dec, it appears there are no direct trains on Sat or Sun, only M-F
The change of trains in Brussels looks to be a 20-40 minute process.
It appears that Sept 27 is the last Sat. that has direct service on a Saturday.
My conclusion is the direct Sat service is seasonal.
It's a bit strange as The Man in Seat 61 says there are direct Saturday trains until the December timetable change, and the St Pancras working timetable agrees.
Yet they don't show on the Eurostar website or on the DB website after 27 September, nor does the Eurostar website indicate any engineering work.
Maybe there is planned engineering work in the Netherlands affecting line capacity, but no obvious mention of it anywhere.
Hey folks, I've cleaned out this thread a bit. Apologies for some confusion. One of our guides popped on and was unaware that his account would come with the RS logo, giving his off-the-cuff advice appear as semi official RSE advice. I'm taking care of it.
don't forget all the construction on the lines around Amsterdam Centraal and in the station which started this year and will be for some time. That's why the Eurostar has been been going to Amsterdam from London and not returning.
I'm not at all surprised that there would be issues on the weekends later in the year.
Looks liken they are adding direct routes on Saturdays now. Perhaps they were just behind a bit in loading the schedule.
I now see direct trains from London to Amsterdam as late in the year as Saturday, December 6.
I've written to the Customer Service office, but I have not received a response. Will keep this group posted.
Thank you!
Sunday December 14, 2025 is the day of the big train timetable change in Europe. This happens every year on the second Sunday of December. It could therefore take some time until the complete train schedule for Saturday December 27, will be released.
Thanks Dutch! I did receive a reply from Eurostar. I quote:
“Thank you for contacting us.
I can confirm due to engineering works where will be no direct services on weekends dur December.”
Not sure this person knows … because there is service on the first Saturday as I mentioned.
