Hi
We are scheduled to take Eurostar from London to Paris. My son in law purchased a ticket using his first name as Jeff. But his passport uses Jeffrey. Will this be problem like it would be at an airport with the different variations of the name? I tried changing the name online but Eurostar won’t let me and I can’t get hold of anyone there on the phone. Anyone have info that could help? Thanks!
Dpends what Eurostar regards as a "tiny spelling mistake".

This suggests that if he had, eg, his birth certificate with him, this might be OK.
There is a contact us section on the website.

In the faq section found this
Can I change the name on my booking?
Only the person named on the ticket may use it, but don’t worry if you’ve just made a tiny spelling mistake. There’s no need to let us know, just turn up and travel as normal.
If your passport's in your maiden name but your ticket's in your married name, just bring a copy of your marriage certificate with you when you travel. There’s no need to make any changes to your booking or let us know in advance.
I suspect you should be OK, but I won't be the one at the gate checking tickets.
Hopefully someone with better insight will come along and comment.
The previous posters pointed you to the same FAQ answer that I would have pointed to. In a FAQ for travel agents it says -
There’s a spelling mistake in our passenger’s name or they are
booked under the wrong title, are they OK to travel? For spelling mistakes of either 2 or 3 characters within the name or wrong title (i.e., MRS instead of MISS) passengers will be OK to travel unless they need a visa to enter the United Kingdom or the Schengen Area.
Our passenger was booked under their married name instead of their maiden name, which is what shows on their passport (or v.v.), are they OK to travel? There is no need to amend the name in the booking, passenger will be OK to travel if they bring a Certificate of Marriage (can also be a copy) with them.
Even on the "Manage Booking" page under "Fare Conditions" it says -
Spelling mistake? There’s no need to do anything, just turn up and travel as normal.
When I took the Eurostar I do not remember anyone looking at my ticket and checking it against my passport. I scanned myself through the ticket barriers and Belgian and UK border agents checked my passport.
The one thing i would make sure is correct is the Advanced Passenger Information (API). One cannot edit their API, but a new API can be submitted.
