We went in January of this year. We plan on going this coming February. I just read that the ETA lasts for 2 years and want to make sure this is true. Hopefully it is. If so, how to I verify that it is linked to our passports? TY
Lulu, from https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply:
"An ETA lasts for 2 years or until your passport expires, whichever is sooner. You can travel to the UK as many times as you want while you have an ETA."
A scan/photo of your passport is one of the pieces you'll use when you apply; the website has instructions.
Does this help?
PS: How was your trip to Paris last month? :O)
The email back from the UK confirms that it has been linked. I took a printed copy on my trip this summer just in case. ETA worked just fine.
Your confirmation email has the date it is valid until.
The email should state the following:
Your ETA application has been approved. You can now travel to the UK.
Your ETA is valid until: X date.
You can travel to the UK as many times as you want until your ETA
expires.
Thanks all, I’ll need to first see if I can find my confirmation email.
Paris was wonderful. Nice was fantastic with the weather! I can’t wait to go back with just my hubbie next time.
