I am traveling tomorrow to the UK. I received my ETA but my middle name is spelled incorrectly. It will not match my passport. The numbers of the passport information R correct. My first and last name R correct but my middle name is spelled with an N instead of a B. Should I redo the ETA process? I’m leaving tomorrow evening. It’s now early morning in the UK.
Thanks for any help. I’m continuing my trip after the UK to Croatia. I don’t want problems. Coming home either. I’m a United States citizen. It’s just adding stress to my trip.
It shouldn't be a problem. They will see that the number matches up with your passport number and transposed letters in your middle name should not make any difference.
Thank you for such a quick response. I will trust the system and hope my middle name is misspelling will not affect the confirmation of the ETA. I was concerned that if I started a new one, it would mess up the system, but it’s scary going to London knowing there’s an error on my ETA.
What's scary? It's just matched to your passport, so when you arrive you go through the egates. In theory you shouldn't have to show it to anyone (and I never have). It's worth noting a few posters on this forum have said airline checkin staff asked to see their confirmation email.
Thank you and thanks for addressing my concerns
Did you receive email confirming your ETA approval? If so, you should have no problem.
