After a quick search I didn’t see this documentary mentioned recently on this forum, so I thought I would share it. It is showing tonight at 5:00 pm on our local station. It looks fascinating, dinner will have to wait tonight ! 😊
Mustlovedogs, that does look fascinating! I just checked and it's on Passport so I can watch it when I want! I love reading and hearing about artisan craft makers, especially when they're from a land I love. Can't wait—thank you!!
If you have the PBS Passport, there is also Italy Made With Love (2 episodes?) and Ireland Made With Love. All of these shows were very enjoyable.
Mary, I saw that on the Passport site! I will definitely be watching all three of them—thanks!
Thank you fellow PBS & Passport fans. Except for local news I am hardly watching the commercial stations anymore. However, I do tend to find time to stream or wander through YouTube.
This aired on my local PBS station last weekend and I recorded it. I thought it was a very enjoyable watch!
Thanks so much! We watched this last night on Passport and enjoyed it very much. We are going to watch the one on Italy next!
Mustlovedogs, thanks!
We will be watching for it on the schedule!
We mainly watch PBS all the time anyway.
I will add that the best souvenirs I have purchased during trips to England are handmade items....a wool blanket made in the Cotswolds, a knit wool cap made in Keswick, the Lake District, and so on.
It was so good. I really enjoyed it. I loved all the crafts they showcased, especially the teapots and watches. A hand crafted tea pot I could afford, but I looked up the prices of the watches… one selection was 48K GBP! Gulp. Gorgeous, though. A work of art. I’m going to watch the Italy and Ireland ones when they come on, also.
