Has anyone discovered a map of the Elizabeth line that isn't just a schematic? I am looking for London accommodation that is near an Elizabeth line stop but having no success trying to line up the schematic to an actual map of London.
There are so many accommodation choices in central London that you can just look for options near any of the central London Elizabeth Line stations - Paddington (not a great choice in my view), Bond St, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon, Liverpool St or Whitechapel. Bond St, Tottenham Court Road and Farringdon are all pretty central but Liverpool St and Whitechapel, whilst a bit to the east are still good choices. You will probably find best value around Whitechapel if that's important.
Simplest thing to do is to use something such as Google or Apple maps and select the public transport layer which reveals the lines and has roundals for the stations.
correct, Google Maps, set to the normal map view, the go to Layers and select Public Transport. Elizabeth Line is shown in very dark purple (which looks black until you zoom in close). Easy to find it coming south east out of Paddington and turning to go below Oxford Street, it only stops at stations marked with the purple roundel
Use the CityMapper app.
I have stayed numerous times at the Paddington Hilton, clean, good breakfast, great hub for transportation and right on Elizabeth Line. Never had a problem at this location and I have stayed here four times.
