Elizabeth Line delays

We leave London this afternoon and had planned to take the Elizabeth Line from Paddington.
I just checked and there are severe delays due to a signal failure.
Suggestions? Take Heathrow Express? Just leave extra early? Is this something that generally gets fixed quickly and won’t be an issue later today?
Our flight is Delta, 3:25pm departure.

Just check closer to the time you leave. Everything could be fine by then. If there are still delays, either leave early or take the tube.

The issue is at Ealing Broadway and the Heathrow Express is running half the normal service at present as a consequence.

As said above, check nearer the time. Piccadilly Line has no current issues.

You need to be leaving by 1100, so make a decision at 1030 as to which route to take. All trains- Great Western, E!izabeth Line and HEX , on that route will be affected.
So if it is still happening use the tube.
These things can be fixed quickly, or take many hours.
The thing is stock and staff will be out of position when it is fixed.

I personally would switch now to the tube due to those lingering effects-not to leave now, but to take that route at the right time. But likely everyone else will do the same, so may be busier than normal for a Saturday.

If you're staying anywhere near Victoria maybe book last minute on National Express leaving around 11am?

We are staying at the Phoenix Hotel, so near Bayswater or Queensway underground. The trip planner didn’t show an all tube option for the journey, but I’ll look again now.

District Line Bayswater to Hammersmith or Baron's Court or Acton Town, then Piccadilly (cross platform change at any of those stations).

For all 3 - a Richmond or Ealing Broadway bound District Line; for Acton Town a Ealing Broadway bound District Line

Live running data shows 5 to 15 minute delays on Elizabeth Line services so far this morning, with the odd cancellation, so actually not too severe.

Or Central line Queensway to Ealing Broadway, then Elizabeth Line (which is the route I would take anyway from that district).

They are for me- London Central (London Victoria Coach Station) to Heathrow Airport London Central Bus Station for T2 & T3 being the search term-
0930- £10.50
1000 (2 different departures)- £8.80
1030 (4 different departures)- £10.50
1100 (4 different departures)- £10.50
1130 (2 different departures)- £8.80
1200 (4 different departures)- £10.50

there is no way that all these services are going to suddenly get booked full, looking at so much capacity I would just turn up to Victoria and buy at the counter from the agents or on the machines.

PS- If you are on Delta to Seattle I saw last night it is showing beautiful weather for Seattle this weekend, far better than my corner of rainy old England.

Thank you. I tried Heathrow Airport T5 and Heathrow Airport. Guess you have to really be specific!

TFL is now just showing minor delays so I’d stick with your original plans assuming no further status changes.

Thanks all! Issue was resolved, we took the Elizabeth Line and are sitting here waiting to see what gate we need. Bonus: I got patted down and wanded at security for no apparent reason.

Pleased to hear it, but this thread is hopefully a reminder to others of how good the comparatively little known coach option is into London, whether or not there are tube or train delays.

And at least the inbound flight DL20 is on time, so departure from LHR may be on time for the first time this week.
