Hi! I'm meeting my daughter in London at the end of her study abroad semester which happens to be Good Friday and Easter weekend. We will be in London 4 days then go on to Paris for 3. I hope to see the Tower, Hampton Court, Kensington Gardens, Westminister Abbey and St. Pauls Cathedral. I would also like to Visit Bath. I'm very worried about Easter Weekend being quite busy. So I was wondering what your would suggestions would be? I didnt know if we should head out to Bath first to avoid the Monday holiday or not?
Check the rail websites carefully before you decide to go to Bath - holiday weekends are often used for track reconstruction work.
All tourist destinations will be pretty busy with locals as well as it's the school holidays. Easter Sunday is also, along with Christmas Day, one of the only two days in the year when even large shops often shut completely.
Large shops, defined as over 280 square metres, cannot open at all on Easter Sunday by law. There are some exceptions such as railway stations and airports.
@ daughtrofthekng: We"ll hope to see you there!
