Easter- Full Closure of London Euston 3 to 8 April then ongoing work to 19 April

Due to engineering work London Euston station is closed to all services (*) from 3 to 8 April.

Please use Thameslink trains from St Pancras (and other London core stations) to Potters Bar, then the rail replacement bus to Watford Junction for Harry Potter. This bus continues all stations except Cheddington to Milton Keynes via Bletchley (Cheddington served by shuttle bus from Leighton Buzzard). Or use normal TfL buses 142 or 258 from Harrow or Edgeware tube stations.

However this is a very slow route. For Bletchley use Thameslink (as above) or East Midlands Railway to Bedford, for a non stop rail replacement bus to Milton Keynes Central, changing there for the Potters Bar bus 1 stop south.

  • On 3 and 6 April the London Underground Mildmay Line will run 2 trains per hour Euston to Willesden Junction only for normal TfL buses forward, On 7 and 8 April a normal Mildmay Line service will run Euston to Watford Junction.

Avanti and London North Western services will start from Milton Keynes Central, Rugby or Crewe. Use the train to Bedford and bus Bedford to Milton Keynes Central bus service as above.

All services resume on Friday 9 April.

For Lancashire and Lake District it may be easier to route via Sheffield and Manchester, for Carlisle via Leeds or Newcastle, and for Scotland via the East Coast Main Line (LNER et al).

Thanks to Texas Travel Mom for picking this up.

Late notice in today- For Watford Junction TfL are running a rail replacement bus every 30 minutes #720 from Harrow on the Hill Station (Metropolitan Line, also Chiltern Railways from Marylebone) Friday to Monday this weekend- journey time 40 minutes.

It will also call at Harrow and Wealdstone station, then all Railway Stations to Watford Junction.

In addition Rail Replacement Bus #718 will run all stations from Harrow and Wealdstone to Stonebridge Park (Bakerloo Line) on Friday and Monday, extending all stations south to Queen's Park (Bakerloo Line) on Saturday and Sunday.

Thank you isn31c. Your frequent updates on what’s happening with British transportation are very helpful. I think the only person who has known more on the subject is Sherlock Holmes, who supposedly knew all the Victorian railway timetables by heart.
