Early taxi/car service to Heathrow

Isn't there any alternative? Are you sure that the cruise ship will let you off that early?

You may find that taking public transport maybe as quick as driving if it’s a weekday. The M25 motorway can be like a car park in the early morning.

Yes, they'll let us off the ship...even would arrange to have taxis "waiting" for passengers that early. I just feel more comfortable having a confirmed taxi reservation. Lesson learned...don't book a 9:45 flight on cruise arrival day in the London area!

A taxi can come into serious money. You may be better to book a car service with a fixed price.

I've never used one but others have. I'm sure they'll answer later.

Presumably you have considered changing your flight?

What/why your aversion to the cruise line arranging a car service/taxi for you?

Do you have biz or 1st class air tickets so you can use the shorter express lanes?

If I were compelled to make a bet on the success of what you are trying to do, I think it would not be in favor of success.
Any problem with the ship docking on time ( fog, tides, wind or ....?) or any traffic glitch pretty much derails your endeavor, which has no fudge factor.

You might check out aquacars.co.uk, based in Portsmouth but service area is quite wide. We've used them on prior trips and found them to be excellent, on time, and less pricey than train tickets. Good luck.

Last month I was looking into Uber-like services to get to Heathrow and discovered many online forums with negative comments about using these companies post-COVID. So do some research.

Thank you, everyone, for your advice. I can recommend Just Airports. The driver arrived right on time; we were at Heathrow in about an hour twenty minutes. Very helpful working through the payment process when my credit card wasn't cooperating (even though I had notified the bank...). Walked right through the security line...should have bought lottery tickets that day:).
