Dover Cruise

We will be taking a cruise out of Dover. We arrive at Heathrow and need to get to Dover. Is there private taxi or transportation that will come to Heathrow and pick us up. Any ideas on cost?

Taxi no way, that would cost astronomical amounts. Just get a train into central London, Heathrow Express to Paddington station, then taxi or tube to St Pancras station and a High Speed train to Dover. Or cheaper, but slower, Victoria station to Dover.

Do a google search for "private car service Dover England". Not sure what you will consider a reasonable cost, but after a long flight, some jet lag, and not being familiar with the location, there isn't anything better than having a private driver meet you inside the terminal and whisk you to your destination. We don't just waste or blow money, but it is one indulgence we allow ourselves.

For our trip in Sept. 2016, to give you an idea on train/taxi costs, our total was 73 GBPounds.

Online advance Heathrow Express (15 minutes) to Paddington Station tickets 12 GBP per person (walked to hotel from there).
Stayed a few days in London, then taxi from hotel to Victoria Station 20 GBP.
Southeastern train (2 hours) purchased online advance Victoria Station to Dover Priory Station tickets 11 GBP per person.
Taxi to Dover cruise terminal 7 GBP.

In various destinations, we sometimes use Blacklane car and driver for a private direct transfer.
Blacklane's online quote for Heathrow to Dover cruise terminal is 160 GBPounds (includes all fees and tip). You pay online by credit card and don't need any local cash at the time of the service.
