Hello
I will be visiting family in Warrington in May and I was wondering if anyone knows of possible day trips fromLiverpool? I enjoy small, quiet well preserved, medeival towns that I can access by train or bus. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Chester is an historic town a short journey from Liverpool - the Merseyrail Wirral (Green) Line runs there from Lime Street and Central Station every 15mins.
If you are staying with family in Warrington, then that place has excellent rail connections - even better than Liverpool. Note that Warrington has 2 stations on different routes - they are very close together.
Consider going to Conwy in north Wales & combine that with Llandudno.
