Day Tours from Marlow, UK

I'll be staying in Marlow, UK at the end of July and will not have a car. I'd like to visit heritage sites, gardens and / or manor houses in the area. Are there buses that might run from Marlow to any historic or interesting sites or are there day tours that I might take advantage of. I am aware of the boat tours from Marlow to Henley and might take that day trip. But interested in other opportunities to do short day trips.
thanks, Diane Briggs

Are you staying with family? Friends? BnB?

Asking because family, friends and proprietors should be able to tell you about the busses.

Marlow is connected by rail to London, and bus to Reading and High Wycombe - both of which have main line train service.

For some bus information there is the 800 bus and other Arriva services - https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/beds-and-bucks/places/marlow/

All the bus services from Marlow station are on this poster (also on the wall at the station) - https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/posters/MLW.pdf

Marlow is at the end of a branch line, and down at river level so to get anywhere around you have to first get out out of town. Will your hosts take you around at all? To get to the nearby National Trust houses, gardens or countryside a car would be handy.

I plan on staying at a bnb and would prefer not to have a car or drive in UK. I appreciate the bus service info and also aware of the train service from Marlow through to Maindenhead to London, which I may do for a day trip, but would prefer to stay away from London until I have to get to the airport. From the sounds of it, if I want to go to a heritage site near Marlow, I may have to hire an Uber or a private driver.
