Day 2 Test Photo?

I'm about to purchase a day 2 test for my arrival next week. The site I'm using, Boots, is asking me to upload a photo of myself. Has anyone else had to do this?

No I haven’t but I’ve not used Boots. Sorry. Do they say why you need to do that? I’ve only done at home day 2 tests and only had to give passport number. I have had to send photo of lateral flow fit to fly test results alongside a photo of my passport but never uploaded photo of myself when ordering a kit. I wouldn’t be unduly worried as Boots, as you know is a reliable company, it just seems a bit of a faff without a logical reason. Something we are all used to by now!

Sometimes, it pays to read the directions. They didn't want a photo of me....they wanted a photo of my passport to confirm the ID number I gave.

And in the end, I wound up not going with Boots. One of the companies that processes the tests, sells them as well for less than anyone else. So why use the middleman?

Yup there’s quite a variation in prices! It’s staggering really. I’ve always gone with one of the cheapest and they’ve been fine. If not I have LFTs that I could test myself with at home if I felt necessary followed up by an NHS PCR if positive.
You may want to pick up a pack of LFTs if you’re out and about in the UK for a few weeks in order to regularly test yourself. They’re available free from Boots pharmacy counter.

The free NHS tests are supplied with an obligation to report the results, positive or negative to the NHS. Unfortunately many never have been!

when I went to pick up my prescriptions yesterday I asked for a replacement box of LFTs. For the first time I was told I had to complete a form and send it in and then return with a QR code to get one. Previously they just popped them in the bag. So changes. That's at Lloyds, but I expect widespread.

I didn't know they were available to tourists...

I’ve just been given them too Nigel but they are also not being given via the workplace to NHS staff now either so maybe changes are afoot!

I assume the tests are available to tourists as I see that testing when here keeps us all safe and they must cost next to nothing. I see this as different from a test to travel. But possibly I’m wrong!

I think I just saw on the Heathrow site that tourists may not use the services of the NHS for screening
