Day 17 of 35 in Inverness and loving it

Omg Scotland is amazing.

Chester and Conwy were so much fun and so pretty.

Keswick was so cute. Loved it.

Stopped in Glasgow just to go to the only Tim Hortons in the UK Canadians might understand that hubby needed an IceCap

Visited Oban but just as it was getting dark. Time got away from us. Slept in Fort William.

Went to Glenfinnan and Mallaig. Gorgeous but one BIG mistake. Didn’t realize that they were on winter hours for the ferry. Duh so had to then uturn and drive to Eilean Dunan Castle and only visit Skye the next day. It rained on Skye so we just sawBroadford and Portree. Still gorgeous. The drive was nerve wracking but gorgeous even on the rain.

Yesterday we drove from Portree to Loch Ness and Urquart Castle. Mom is a little tired so we only took pics from the outside. Then onto Inverness for 2 nights. Staying in a 2 bedroom apartment next door to the castle with a WASHER. This is how I got past having to go to a laundrette. Perfect.

Today in a relaxing and shopping day with a quick Castle visit.

Tomorrow off to Edinburgh.

Thank you all for all the help. It’s been awesome. I’m exhausted but happy.

Glad to hear you're having a great time. Enjoy Edinburgh tomorrow, it's a fantastic city and it looks like it's going to be a sunny day albeit a bit on the chilly side.

Funny, visiting Glassgow for Tim Hortons “signature creamy cool Iced Capp™ blended frozen coffee beverage,” was not on my list of things-to-do in Scotland.

Proof that everyone’s list of “must see” places is unique!

Sounds like your having a great trip!

On the other hand, an Irn-Bru is on my list.

So funny about the Tim's - I have a facebook friend in Glasgow - his wife is Canadian and he was there opening day - filming the huge line of people waiting to go in. (I gave them my unused fanclub presale ticket code for a U2 concert and now we are fast friends...lol). He LOVES Tim's and when he and his wife come to Canada to visit family, he always loads up. I offered to bring him one on the plane from Halifax if he'd pick us up at the airport, but I think we are flying into London next year and out of Glasgow. Maybe I'll take him a Tim's Xmas ornament.

I feel like I'm going to have to make a trip to Shediac to see you vacay photos...

...and most likely we will find that Tim's when we go over...

I actually have only had one Iced Capp - I know how many calories/fat are in them, so I avoid them (says the same person who loves the frozen hot chocolate in the summer...lol). I don't do coffee.
