There is to be a new Folk Festival this year in Cumbria at Workington, called Cumberlandia- from 16 to 18 August
It will showcase folk music and dancing, not only from Cumbria, but from Northumberland (Kathryn Tickell), London and as far afield as The Balkans.
On the Saturday evening there will be a Community Musical with songs sung in the Cumbrian dialect.
There are only 500 tickets.
