Crystal Palace match question

Our group of 11 is coming in over Easter Break and will see a Crystal Palace FC match. We will be staying at the Intercontinental London Park Lane. It looks like the fastest way to get to Sellhurst stadium is from Victoria Station to Norwood Junction. Looking for any thoughts/opinions on the best way to travel to and from the match. Thank you very much!

If it is actually over the Easter weekend (Friday to Monday) check closer to the time for any rail engineering work.

Three stations with service from Victoria are all pretty much equidistant- Norwood Junction, Thornton Heath and Selhurst.

However generally that weekend there is a reduced service from Victoria on Southern Railway routes due to engineering work. So it are going to the Bournemouth game on the Saturday evening re-check about 4 weeks out when rail timings should be final.
Right now is a bit soon.

Firstly, do you have tickets and if so are they from a legitimate source, approved by th3 club?

Assuming the answer is yes, note that kick-off times for those games have not been finalised yet. At the moment all games are shown as 15.00 on Saturday afternoon. They might stay but the game could also be moved to another time on Saturday or other times on the Sunday or Monday for live TV coverage. All I can say for certain is that it won’t be on the Friday night.

Thank you for taking that time to respond, yes our tickets are for Saturday April 19th which is Easter weekend. I would not have thought of rail-work so that is definitely something we will be checking on in the weeks and days (even hours) leading up to the game!

Thanks for the response, yes we were very diligent about how and from whom we bought these tickets. We are aware that they game is TBD up until the last minute and have planned our trip accordingly. We are flexible if they move the game but I am curious about the odds of them moving the game to Easter Sunday?

But you got them from the club or their authorised agents, yes? Otherwise you have gambled.

Usually about half of the Premier League games are moved from Saturday afternoon every weekend. It’s sometimes more but that relates to teams playing European games on a Thursday, but that isn’t relevant for this game.
My best guess is that it will stay on a Saturday, but it’s just that, a guess.

Here's hoping it stays on Saturday. And, yes, we purchased the tickets from the club.
