Crown Pier? Different from Blackfriars?

Hi everyone,
Thames River Services is offering a cruise after the LordMayors Show that departs from Crown Pier. I can find Blackfriars Pier on a map, but not Crown Pier. Before I buy tickets, I'd really like to know where in the world I'm supposed to go! Any help? P.S. I have never been to London.
Thanks!

I believe the nearest tube station to Crown Pier is Temple. Turn right out of the station and cross the Victoria Embankment. As you face the river turn left. Crown Pier is next door to HQS Wellington.

Are you referring to the Lord's Mayor parade that happens in November?

Went last year. Somewhat subdued as it was the day following the Paris attack. The rain also dampened things but the turnout was good and I found it great fun. The large rolling Queen Elizabeths in different dresses were my favorite along with the Scottish Bagpipe regiment. Even Batman and Catwoman were there in the Batmobile. Still haven't figured out why.

If it rains again, a little secret. There's a Pret a Manger next to the Museum of London on Aldersgate. Floor to ceiling windows. This is the area where staging is for the parade. You can sit inside and watch the parade from there. I did for a portion of it.

If I recall correctly Thames River Services start from the Westminster Pier in the shadow of Big Ben.

However, I see you are trying to book through River Thames Services, the fireworks cruise I suspect? Their website has a map of their piers but oddly enough Crown Pier isn't shown. Before I booked anything I'd email them for clarity. Or we can hope Emma or Nigel will chime in with an exact location.

Thanks, all!
Yes, it appears as though Crown Pier will only be used for this particular cruise. It isn't their usual departure pier, and their website doesn't have a location. Google street view was no help either. That's why I turned to you wonderful people and I knew you could help me!
If I buy tickets now, I won't be able to take advantage of the Travelcard 33% discount, but I'm afraid if I wait until the day, they'll sell out.
Thanks also for the tube info and "inclement weather" perch. This is terrific information!
