Cross Country Trains strike action 18 October and 1 November

Cross Country have now published their very limited timetable for 18 October- https://www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk/media-vnext/3jud3amv/t51-sat-18-oct-v2.pdf

Briefly very limited service will run on the Birmingham to Manchester, Reading/Southampton, Bristol and Leeds/York routes with the odd service to Newcastle and Edinburgh.

No Cross Country service will run on the
Birmingham to Leicester, Cambridge and Stansted Airport, Gloucester to Cardiff, Nottingham to Derby, Bristol to Plymouth/Paignton and Penzance, Edinburgh to Glasgow and Aberdeen and Southampton to Bournemouth routes.

Any services on the affected routes run by other operators will not be affected.

1 November is to follow, but is unlikely to be any better.

While the strike action on 18 October was suspended at the last moment on Friday afternoon (too late to run more trains) that on 1 November remains ON at the present time- service details yet to be confirmed.

The 1 November strike is currently ON-

the only services to run will be Birmingham to Manchester, Bristol. Reading and Derby also Newcastle to Edinburgh

The odd train will extend beyond Derby to York, beyond Reading to Bournemouth and beyond Newcastle to Darlington.

All other XC routes are closed.
