Covent Garden area hotels

Greetings, next May 2024, I and 5 adults will be spending 7 days in London. We would like to stay in the Covent Garden area…any recommendations for can spend between 150 to 200 dollars/person. Thank you so much.

It would be useful to know if you’re talking about one or two people per room as hotel rooms in London will be charged by room rather than person.

It makes a big difference to what hotels we might recommend so it would be good to know if you’re looking for five rooms at $150-$200 per room, or two or three rooms at, say, up to $400 a room.

Why Covent Garden?

It’s noisy, touristy, expensive and known for shopping and entertainment.

Is this you first foray into London?

The group wants to be in the theatre district. I stayed at a Premier Inn across from the British Library on my last visit and was totally content.

I've stayed at the Thistle Holborn before and it was fine - the staff were friendly and the rooms reasonably spacious. I'm not personally a fan of Covent Garden due to the crowds and lack of green space (I love London's parks), but the hotel itself was ok.

Thank you for the personal feedback. I agree, wouldn't be my choice if I was on my own, but the group requested to be near the British Museum, Royal Operal and theaters. I have been to London several times and love the parks.

Last year I stayed at the Radison Blu Mercer Street in the 7 Dials area of Covent Garden. Our room was on the small side, but the bathroom was large. Service was great and we could walk everywhere. Join the Radison club which will give you extra discounts.
