Cotswolds self guided walking tour for under $1500pp

Hello!
I've been looking for a self-guided UK walking tour for my mom and her husband. They are most interested in the Cotswolds. The tour would ideally meet the following criteria:

5-7 days of walking in September
5-8 miles a day (10 miles max if flat/easy terrain)
luggage transfer
minimal elevation gain and loss (<750 ft)
minimal rocky/rooty trails, as my mom isn't comfortable on uneven surfaces
costs less than $1,500 per person

I'm overwhelmed with the options out there and the prices seem to vary a great deal. (I've seen ones for $900 pp up to $2500 pp)

Can anyone recommend a tour company that's reputable but not super expensive?

Thank you!

Cotswolds Walks. They are a great company. Currently their 8 day Best of the Cotswolds is about £1100/pp.

Cotswolds Walk is great; I would use them again if walking in the Cotswolds. You might also look into Contours; it specializes in walks in the United Kingdom.

HF Holidays has a 7 day Cotswolds walking holiday for 1199 GBP which is more than $1500 but it includes all meals. HF Holidays is reputable, a co-op in the walking holiday business for over 100 years. Highly recommended.

Another vote for HF Holidays. I've done 2 of their country house hotel guided walking holidays in the last year or so. Both great. You can do 3 night, 4 night or 7 nights options. All meals included, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal.

I haven't been to the Cotswold option. www.hfholidays.co.uk/country-houses/locations/bourton-on-the-water-cotswolds

I really liked their Church Stretton option in Shropshire (easy to get to by train).

These are all great. They were already interested in a Cotswold Walks tour, so good to hear others have had a good experience. The one-base option w/ HF Holidays is also interesting...I'll run it by them.

I can report back on which one they choose!

The other thing I wanted to mention about Cotswolds Walks is that they are very friendly and accommodating. I still contact them (5+ years later) with questions and they always are very kind about replying. They can also do some customizing of trips if necessary.

Highly recommend Cotswold Walks. They put together a custom itinerary for us that worked wonderfully. The daily walks were in line with what we requested, and the accommodations were great. Very friendly and helpful folks.
