Cotswolds Itinerary Early May

Okay, all you travel gurus! I need a two-day Cotswolds itinerary that focuses (pun intended) on great photo ops. Will be traveling from Wells to Stow-on-the-Wold the first day and will be staying there 2 nights. The second day is up for grabs, then back to Heathrow by 5:00 p.m. on day 3. I am particularly interested in great shots of bluebells, since they will be out at that time. Thank you! Lynn

We are planning three nights in Bath and six nights in Chipping Campden this October. There is lots to see when you include nearby cities and towns.

Here is someones advice from the internet.
Day 14: Driving Through the Cotswolds
For your final day in England, arm yourself with a good map and set out to explore the most beautiful villages in the Cotswolds.
From Cheltenham, and by doing some crisscrossing here and there, you can take in the best of the Cotswolds. Scenic highlights of your day will include Upper and Lower Slaughter, Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Moreton-in-Marsh. Finally, in the north Cotswolds, you arrive in the most scenic town of Broadway, with what is arguably the most beautiful High Street in England. However, it's overrun with visitors in summer and charges very high prices. Make your way northeast to the even more charming village of Chipping Campden, which you can walk around and explore in 2 hours, spending the night before heading back to London and your final destination in the morning.

Of course, visiting places like Stratford on Avon, Blenheim Palace, Oxford and Warwick would be good.

Here is some advice from a November sojourn last year.

Stanton. The Mount Inn for the valley view.

Stanton House and Hailies Abbey. Can do the 2 mile walk between them or drive.

Winchcombe. Tour St Peter's. Local docents share their knowledge and pride. Hopefully, Arthur will be there. Also Sudeley Castle.

Bourton on The Water, expect large crowds.

Broadway.

Enjoy.

In Bourton-on-the-Water see the model village, its behind the Old New Inn. Well worth a visit. As for Broadway it is beautiful, I don't find it any more expensive then any other village. Painswick is a beautiful village and has tons of great photo ops.
