Planning on staying in the Cotswolds for 2 nights in late July and arriving by train to Moreton-in-Marsh. On the second day (a Sunday), I have reserved a tour out of Moreton-in-Marsh which goes to Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the Wold, and Bourton-on-the-Water. I did this as I know I can get in and out of Moreton easily. My only concern is that I've heard it's not the most picturesque. Is that right? If I knew I could easily get to another village and get back to Moreton for the tour, I'd stay somewhere else. But is this easily done? I've heard mixed messages about using buses. Or are there car rentals in Moreton? I may not do the tour if I knew I could easily get to other villages by car, but as I was planning on arriving to the area by train.
Thanks for your help!
