Cotswold Walks -- My recommendation

Hello fellow travelers--

I just returned from a trip to the Cotswold area of England and had a fantastic time, thanks to the locally-owned company, "Cotswold Walks." I walked the northern circle route in 8 days/7 nights, just over 50 miles, starting from Moreton-in-Marsh and continuing on an inn-to-inn itinerary to Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-water (2 nights), Winchcombe via Guiting Power, Broadway via Stanton, Chipping Camden and home to Moreton-in-Marsh. The trails were well-signed, maintained and traveled by locals. Some trails through farms, groves of trees and stunning countryside. The trip and trail information provided was extremely thorough and easy to follow. The Inns were wonderful -- all historic, comfortable, centrally-located and close to restaurants/pubs and grocery stores. I peeled off to see Hidcote Manor and Gardens on my last day. Stunning. I highly recommend this way to see the Cotswold area and have the folks at "Cotswold Walks" do all the planning!

I walked in August and had perfect conditions: warm temps and no rain; smart to get advise from the folks at Cotswold Walks on local conditions and how to best plan a trip.

Cheers!

Thanks for the review, Bree88! It's always nice to have recommendations for good tour companies; especially the ones who do inn-to-inn itineraries. I've always thought that would be fun to walk the coastal route and have someone else transport my luggage. :-)

Yes! Cotswolds Walks folks are awesome. We did that same basic walk with them in 2019. I highly recommend their tours. And they are still happy to give us advice 6 years later.

Right!! The convenience of luggage shipped to the next destination was the key!!

Lovely to hear. I am considering walking a portion with our family (3 kids included) in January. I assume it will be cold and wet. Any feedback from someone who's tried the walk in winter?
