Good Morning!
My mother will be heading off to Stow, Blenheim and Oxford in the summer. Anyone have favorite places to get a good bite to eat or their favorite restaurants?
Thank you!

Lisa, I visited a friend in Stow 6 months ago and she took me to Huffkins. They have a few locations besides Stow. It was lovely with wonderful service and delicious treats. We went for tea. Enjoy your visit!
I agree about Huffkins and several Cotswold towns have one in addition to Stow. The soups are very good. A few miles outside of Stow in the small hamlet of Ford is The Plough which is a pub that serves nice meals. We ate at a popular pub in Oxford and cannot remember the name but there are several good ones---locals can recommend.
Another vote for the Plough! Wonderful meal there.
Another vote for Huffkins
It's been 10 years since I've been to the Cotswolds but I remember an awesome little fish and chips place by the name of Greedy's if I'm remembering accurately. It was in Stow-on-the- Wold. We took our food to go wrapped in newspaper and it was a memorable lunch. The best fish and chips I've ever had and that's saying a lot.
I'm afraid that you won't get your fish in newspaper any longer - that has been illegal for many years.
We took our food to go wrapped in newspaper
That would have been food safe paper printed to resemble a newspaper. Using newspaper to wrap food was banned a long time ago due to the health issues of ink being absorbed into the food.
The best chips are those cooked in beef fat. Sprinkled with salt and proper malt vinegar not that mixture of water, ethanoic acid, colourings and flavourings chip shops try to pass off as vinegar. Served with mushy peas if you like but not curry sauce, that's just wrong.
Thank you everyone! Yippee!!!

Just outside Stow, in the tiny village of Upper Oddington, is a pub that serves wonderful food: the Horse and Groom. It was so good, we ate there two nights in a row. Their website: https://www.horseandgroomoddington.com/the-bar/
" but not curry sauce, that's just wrong."
Have to disagree, dipping chips into curry sauce is lovely, it's dipping them into mayonnaise that's just wrong!!!
Another recommendation for you, Lisa.
The Snowshill Arms
I loved this pub not just for the unbelievably beautiful village in which it is located but for the absolute enjoyment of the pub itself. My friend from Stow took me here for lunch and it was just a treat.

Are you a Northerner in disguise?
In Oxford, try these restaurants:
the Quod Brasserie at the Old Bank Hotel. It has a great atmosphere and overlooks Oxford High Street. It also serves a wonderful Afternoon Tea and cocktails. https://www.oldbank-hotel.co.uk/food-and-drink/restaurant/
The Folly Restaurant. It has riverside dining and is a short walk from the centre of town:

Oxford has a new shopping centre and many people don't realise that up on the roof there are several restaurants. There's outdoor seating and a view of Oxford's spires so it would be lovely in the summer.
Blenheim
The Crown Inn in Woodstock
If your mother has a car, just a couple of miles from Blenheim is this wonderful garden cafe (it's one of Oxford's best kept secrets):
