Cotswold

We were just notified that our daytrip tour was cancelled. We are totally disappointed. This was with Secret Cottage and recommended on this site. We are planning on being in London, May 1-10. Does anyone have another recommendation??? We would be traveling by train as we do not intend to rent a car. A bus tour would also work.

Thanks in advance
Bobbie

Haven't used them ourselves, but Rabbies Tours seem to have a lot of fans who have reported good things about them on this site. I believe they have tours that start from London so you wouldn't have to go to a distant place to join them. MadMax Tours does a lot of Cotswold tours from Bath if you want to spend a night or two in Bath.

We enjoyed our Mad Max tour, but you would need to spend the previous night in Bath. I haven't been on Rabbies Cotswold tours but I have been on two other Rabbies tours that were great.

We will be there basically at the same time!

We are actually staying a few nights in the Cotwolds, but when figuring out our transportation, we considered hiring a service we saw with great reviews on another travel forum. It is Cotswolds Executive Cabs. They require a 3-8 hour commitment and the beauty of it is the total personalization of the day. It would be more expensive, but the idea of not waiting on a van full of people to load and unload is appealing. They could pick you up at the train station in Moreton-in-Marsh and return you there.

I really appreciate all the feed back, it was very helpful.

FYI, we ended up going with Go_tours.co.uk

The reviews were good, discount applied if it is booked directly through their site and their pick up is only a 11 minute walk from where we are staying (Bonus).

It was a hard choice since a lot of tours are already booked. I will write a review when we return to let all know.

Again thanks, this is a great forum:)
