Cornwall and Cotswold May 21, 22, 23, 24

We have four days/nights to fill after arriving at Southhampton from a cruise ship early on the morning of May 21, 2015. We would like to see Port Issac one day. We don't have reservations for lodging yet and are considering a bed and breakfast, any suggestions?

I heartily second Emma's remarks . Cornwall is a bigger trip than it appears to be on the map , and as well the villages and towns are far more spread out than in the Cotswolds . Cornwall is a beautiful place , one of my favorites , but I think you would be better off touring the Cotswolds - the towns are quite close together and you don't have nearly the driving distance that Cornwall would entail . Besides , the Cotswolds are among the most picturesque areas of England

Can't be very helpful re your question I'm afraid (used to live down that way and occasionally go down on business, so never stayed in nice hotels there). However it's worth knowing that the spring bank holiday is on the 25th so expect the weekend of the 23rd to 25th to be a tad busy. It'd be worth planning to hit the most popular places like Port Isaac on the Thursday & Friday then leave the weekend to enjoy the landscape, otherwise you'll be playing the popular bank holiday game of "How long is the queue really if the sign says 2 hours?"
