Connecting Flights at London Gatwick Airport

Hello! Seeking guidance regarding our connecting flight from London to Barcelona. We are flying into London and scheduled to arrive at London Gatwick at 9:30am. From there, we are thinking of taking the 11:40am EasyJet flight to Barcelona. Does this sound feasible? Would the ~2-hour gap be enough time to disembark, claim our baggages, go through passport control/customs, etc. and check in? As we will be inside the airport already, I'm assuming that we will no longer have to go through airport security again, which would save us some time.

Thank you.

IF everything went to time and as planned with no delay, but that's a BIG IF. Personally, I would want a couple more hours 'wriggle room'.
What airline? And from where?

It sounds as though you're booking separate tickets, not one single through booking, so if your first flight is late, it would be you and not the airline that would be responsible for the cost of a new ticket to Barcelona. If this is a return trip and you missed your outward Easyjet flight, then the return would be invalidated too.

I would say that 2 hours is tight. It will be c 10 am by the time you are off the plane. I would book a later flight unless you are prepared to buy another ticket if you miss the 11.40 (assuming there is availability). Most Easyjet flights I have taken recently have been full.

are both flights in the same terminal?

If you are claiming baggage you will go through security again.

A very doubtful connection.

Two hours is close. If you're flying a major airline into Gatwick and can stay with them to Barca - then do it unless it's a lot more $$ than easyJet. We flew American into Heathrow and then were going to fly easyJet to Athens but got cancelled. It was a problem even though EJ is based in London (Luton). EJ's a great deal unless you have problems - then customer service doesn't compare with the big boys. Also, use a credit card with travel insurance included (you can get your money back if there are cancellations)!

Thank you all for the feedback! We are flying in from the US through British Airways and wanted to see if we can save time by booking the next available flight once we land. Sounds like it might be too tight of a timeframe though so I think we'll just opt for the 14:20 flight instead.

Thanks again!
