I am flying out at 7:30 am which means it is probably best to get a hotel at the airport. Any suggestions? Ideally I want to fall out of bed and walk over to the terminal. Thanks
We stayed at the Sofitel, very near terminal. It was somewhat dated but ok for one night.
This is where we're staying prior to our flight home in September. We also stayed there in 2018. It's right in the north terminal.https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/longnhx-hampton-london-gatwick-airport/
Does your flight leave from the South Terminal? For our early morning flight to Dubrovnik, we stayed right in Gatwick, here: https://www.blochotels.com/gatwick
It is Icelandair, which seems to be the north Terminal. I'd love to stay at the hotel in London that one last night but I think it would mean catching a 3:30am Thameslink train to the airport from St. Pancras
I’ve stayed at the yotelair (pre-pandemic). It is a pod hotel. I thought it was fine for one person.
There are 2 Premier Inns. One in the North Terminal the other a short walk away. I expect the later to be a bit cheaper
That's where i have stopped a couple of times
There are three hotels connected to the North Terminal. (The one Icelandair uses.)..
A Sofitel, a Premier Inn and a Hilton. I've stayed at both the Sofitel and the Premier Inn. Neither is the best in their respective chains but were fine for one night.
Just a note that it isn't a Hilton at the north terminal, but a Hampton by Hilton which is cheaper than a traditional Hilton and offers a free breakfast.
