Clarification on areas to stay in

Heading to London in Sept for 12 days with my my daughter.
Looking at several options to book our accommodations but would like some clarification on a few. Looking for areas that are close walking proximity to tube/buses to visit tourist attractions, grocery stores, cafes/pubs close by and friendly neighbourhood walking vibe. Since London attractions are all spread out trying to figure out the most beneficial area is becoming overwhelming . Will be booking apartment/flat style accommodations.

Would appreciate some feedback on the differences of each... pros/cons
South Bank vs Southwark and Bankside
Chelsea vs Fulham
Paddington/Bayswater/Nottinghill
The City vs Clerkenwell
Kings Cross vs Camden vs Islington

Bankside is a small part of the South Bank near Shakespeare's Globe Theatre so essentially the same place. The South Bank is lovely, and will give you what you asked for, but is a little less convenient for transport in some places, but cross the river and you have access to everything. Southwark is a borough and hence a huge area, rather than the specific area of the South Bank. I wouldn’t stay in Southwark personally, unless you want ‘local’ rather than ‘tourist’ London. But definitely visit Southwark, many nice things to see and do there. I would stay on the South Bank itself though.

Very important when referring to the likes of Chelsea and Fulham that it is the location within those broad areas that is important. Especially if it is considering the modern descriptors rather than the historic. For example does Fulham just mean the village close to the river, or does it include Waltham Green, Parsons Green, Sands End etc, even West Kensington?

Thanks for the input, many things to take into consideration. This is my first go around, I have a couple options in various locations, hopefully you'll be able to open them (bare with me, never done this before). Please let me know if they don't open.

Go with the one with the 46 positive reviews. The first one. Looks like you are near the intersection of Seymore Place and Crawford Street.

If that's true the tiny Italian restaurant L'Angolo Bianco on Crawford is a hidden gem. It will also be an easy 10 minute stroll to Edgeware Road Underground Station. Confirm this with your Super Host.

I've always found in my AirBnb stays the more positive reviews the better the host and accommodation. Make sure the couch converts to a bed.

The last one also looks good.

Then relax knowing you are booked.

Yes, agree with you...the more reviews the better understanding of unit. I've narrowed it down to #1 and #5...both in very different areas. Need to find out exactly where located to determine transportation distances, neighbourhood vibes and close proximity to restaurants/cafes and grocery stores

I have to say the area description of #5 coupled with the few recommendations confuse me.
Initially thought the building might be near Butlers Wharf which is near Tower Bridge. Then the map shows the area being across the river closer to Whitechapel. And I’m always leary when a host puts a picture of their pet, an iconic London site or simply two wine glasses instead of their own picture. Makes me believe they merely bought this flat to rent out and aren’t close by or even in the country.

Thus please contact Peter to ask for the exact address or at least the closest tube station to get a better idea exactly what neighborhood the flat is located in.

No. 1 over No. 5 for sure. Sarah is a Superhost, the flat has lots of reviews, and the location is great.

Like Claudia, I would not trust a host who simply uses wine glasses for a photo. And Peter is not a Superhost.
