Clapham area

Hello all;
My wife, my sister and I will be making our first trip to England in mid April. We will spend four nights in London, staying near the High Street train station in Clapham. Are there any sights around Clapham we should visit? Not necessarily tourist destinations, maybe places the locals enjoy.
Also, can anyone recommend a dependable transportation service from Clapham to Heathrow?
Thanks!!
Pete

Clapham High Street station is on the so-called "Overground" network. It is a semi-circular line running around London suburbs connecting other lines. No services into central London.
Nearby is Clapham North Underground station. The underground is a dependable transport service to or from Heathrow.

Clapham is a normal Victorian residential part of London. Nothing spectacular.

As said, there is nothing special about Clapham, but if you go down the Northern Line 2 or 3 stops to either of the Tooting stations, you're near some excellent Indian restaurants and sweet shops. Our favourite was the Sree Krishna, a little further down Tooting High Street, where before they had a drinks licence would come and get you from the pub over the road when a table was free. I don't think they do that any more, but it still seems to have good write-ups.

From Clapham, you can also get to Wimbledon easily.
