Random restaurant/pub question. When I was in London for a study abroad semester 20+ years ago, my friends and I frequented the Churchill Arms, a pub with an amazing Thai restaurant in the back. I believe it was located off the District and Circle lines, perhaps near the High Street Kensington station. (I'm not really sure about the tube stop, just guessing from my limited memory.) Does anyone know of this pub and is it still operational? If so, is it still any good?
It still exists, and still serves Thai food. Never been there personally though.
Rats - Marco beat me to it! :-)
Yes, still there, and still looks adorable, but despite having walked by it every Christmas season for years, have never gone in! Megan, if you do go back, it would be awesome to post a review in the trip reports section.
It is definitely on my agenda! I found their website...churchillarmskensington.co.uk. I'm excited that it is still there and still serving up Thai food. It was one of the first places we went after getting settled in our residence and familiarizing ourselves with our neighborhood. And we went back again and again that semester bc the food was so good (mind you, that was my 20-year-old college student palette, so we'll see if it still impresses). We also spent a fair bit of time at The Blackbird in Earl's Court, and dancing at Pip's. LOL This will be an interesting trip with my kids!
