We will have a day trip in this area and I don't know much about it. I found, what looks to be a nice hike, any suggestions or information would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.

Not sure about Cheddar Gorge, but Wookey Hole Caves are near by, a bit of fun going down into the caves, nothing dangerous or scary, not jaw dropping, just fun. They age Cheddar Cheese in the caves, and it's really one of the best Cheddar cheeses I've had, strong and full of flavour. Starting to be available in shops like Waitrose and Sainsbury's.
