We have booked several train tickets with seat reservations. I tried to check if these seats are forward facing and if there seems to be a clear view from a window but could not figure out how to do this.
Can we look at our seats and change them and if so, how?

You can normally see the direction you’ve booked but sometimes it’s changed anyway when you get on the train. I don’t think you can see where the windows are. It’s not like booking an airline seat where the layout is totally predictable.

Car A is normally the front car northbound and the back car southbound.

The trains are Avanti, Great Western Railway, and Cross Country. I booked them all on the LNER app. I should have mentioned this before.
