I acknowledge this a ridiculously specific question, but looking for some suggestions for good food that won't break the bank for my family of six in that general area. We can't do fine dining every night we are there ;)
The Pret A Manger chain is omnipresent all over London . decent food , reasonably priced https://www.google.com/maps/search/Pret+A+Manger/@51.5000493,-0.1459505,15.5z
Two places known for their meat pies are The Guinea, and Windmill. Both are in the general area, but still a 15 minute walk from the intersection you mentioned. Not certain if that’s what you’re looking for or what cheapish means to you.
There’s a Hard Rock Café on Picadilly. You could also zoom in on Google maps and find pubs around Shepherd Market.
But otherwise, that’s the most expensive part of London so cheap(ish) is not catered for. Five-star oligarchs etc.
Go elsewhere for better value.
As noted you are in a posh neighborhood.
Get on the tube and ride to Bayswater. Plenty of good relatively inexpensive places to choose from along Queensway. Plus you’ll see a different neighborhood.
Thanks to everyone for replying and giving me great food for thought and suggestions!
Mayfair isn’t known for its value restaurants.
If you walk across Green Park, near Victoria Station, you will find Cardinal Place, a modern development, home to many restaurants including Wagamama (popular Japanese/Asian restaurant), Bill’s (British food), Nando’s (chicken), Brown’s (British), Zizzi (pizza), Iberico (Spanish) or Leon (healthy options).
There are plenty better value eateries north of Marble Arch, particularly Lebanese cuisine.
Just find the closest Nando's.
Thanks to everyone who responded, your suggestions are greatly appreciated!
