I'm hoping to visit the countryside home of the Bloomsbury Group, Charleston House, in Sussex. I'll take a train from Victoria to Lewes and then a taxi.
I've got a couple of questions regarding this.
1. I'm going to Oxford on Friday and will be back in London early evening. Do you think going to Sussex the next day is "too much"? I know it's only an hour away and about 3 hours total in the house and gardens.
2. What are my chances of finding a fellow traveler who would share the taxi cost to the house? It's about 20 pounds each way. If I go on Saturday, chances are there will be other people going as well. There are timed entries. I'm traveling solo.
