We're a couple who'll be 71/81 next year. We'll be in St. Malo again in Sept. 2015 and would like to travel to Jersey, Guernsey and possibly Sark for about 2 nights on each island (we took the ferry for a day trip in 1990 from St. Malo to Jersey). Any suggestions/recommendations?

I like to use a website called Direct Ferries . It will search for ferries across Europe. I did a quick search and did see that there are ferries from St. Malo to the Channel Islands. If you follow the hyperlink above you can try to route your own ferry travels. We also recommend A Ferry for looking up and/or booking your ferry rides.

What a coincidence - we are currently looking at visiting the Channel Islands September of 2015! We have never been. I was looking at taking the ferry from St. Malo to Jersey - hadn't decided if we should see the other islands too - seems as if there is much to do on Jersey. We plan to stay about 3 days. We will have a rental car. Am wondering if you will and if you will take it over on the ferry? I have written to the Jersey and Guernsey tourist offices and they have sent me large packets of information. When you went on the day trip, did you find it easy to get around the island - I'm assuming without a car?
