To answer your question - no.
However, I guided tour isn't necessary IMHO. First of all, you need to know what dates the formal ceremony is being held. To help out, go to this link.

Second, unless the weather is REALLY bad, there will be people lining up for a gate-side viewing spot HOURS in advance.
What we did was go to the Guards Museum an hour or so before the ceremony. It's worth a visit... The troop stands Guard Mount next door at the barracks before marching to Buckingham Palace. You can watch and then follow them down to the palace. I watched the actual changing of the guard (from on top of the wall across the street) and found the ceremony a little anticlimactic after watching guard mount and the march to the palace.
Alternatively, you can go the Horse Guards 4 O'clock Parade or the Changing of the Guards at Windsor.
