And now with the last of the ridiculous excessive charges lifted, I can finally start planning a return to London !!

I don’t mind taking an inexpensive lateral flow test.

We are flying into Dublin, so that's day 0...will drive into Belfast for a day trip, day 1 only not spending night, back to Dublin for night of day 1 and day 2, 3 & 4 before flying to London on day 5. So I know we need a day 2 test...after we land in London and will likely opt for the PCR, since we need it to return to US 3 days later.

Do we need any kind of COVID test to get to Belfast for the day?

trying to keep up with it all

Aren't we all. Every country has different and changing rules.

will likely opt for the PCR, since we need it to return to US 3 days later.

An antigen test is okay for returning to the USA. Make sure it's less than 72 hours prior.

We will be going to Paris from USA transiting through Heathrow. Will a 48 hrs RT-Antigen test be accepted at Heathrow? Thank you!

You don't need a test if transiting through the UK.

Nor do you need a test for France if you are vaccinated.
