On their website I can't find any information if the steps up to the dome are open to the public daily. If anyone has done this or who has information I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
I don’t think it’s open to the public as a tourist attraction - it’s used for conferences and private events.
I may be wrong but I have never heard of the dome as a visitor attraction. The cafe in the basement is open to the public (useful place for a quick lunch) but other than that I’ve only ever visited while attending a conference.
Thanks for your quick reply. I was kind of thinking that maybe the case. I heard about it somewhere on the web and can't find it back. When I google it I only get references to the conference rooms, etc. But the pictures I have seen have a great view, so was hoping that was possible.
For great views in that general area, try Westminster Cathedral (as distinct from Westminster Abbey). You can go up the campanile by lift. It’s a bit underrated and unknown compared to other places in Westminster but worth a go for £6. https://westminstercathedral.org.uk/tower-viewing-gallery-reopens/
Westminster Central Hall is both an events venue and still a working Church in different parts of the building. I too don't believe they are open normally to the public- unless attending an event or a Church service. But it is worth while asking- using their Contact form.
Thanks again for the the idea of going to Westminster Cathedral and the link for the Hall. Will see what I can find out, but it's looking like not a tourist thing. I have been trying to get tickets to Sky Garden but the dates we will be in London have not come up yet as far as I can tell. I thought they came available 3 weeks prior, but website says no dates available at this time. I'll keep checking.
Besides the Sky Garden you should consider the Garden at 120.
Free and so less crowded than the Sky Garden.

Thanks Claudia, I do plan on going there. Central Hall has a different view that i was hoping was available.
