What are your interests? Whitby is a very interesting fishing town with a lot of history where you can walk, climb the 199 steps, eat some seafood and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s a charming place and I loved it when I was there. I plan on going back in April of this year.

On the other hand, the Peak District is lovely with some great hiking, interesting places to see, mines to explore and Bakewell pudding tarts to eat. 😊 I’ve also been there and I’m heading there again in April.

Overall, I would say that if you were more interested in hiking, the outdoors and scenery, I would go with The Peak. But if you want to explore a quaint town on the coast, then go with Whitby.

With either one, you can’t go wrong.

I guess it is do you want fish and chips or Bakewell Tart? Views of the sea and cliffs or views of hills and valleys and mountains and rocks? Would you rather base in York or Manchester?
