Do u have any suggestions for a hotel in the center of Bath w parking? I’m looking for 4 nts beginning 2 November. Twin room, large and comfortable. Someplace easy to walk into the center, for two elderly women. Thank you!!!
Travelodge Bath Waterside has parking but large rooms and Bath don't go too well together. A car in Bath is a bit of a liability. What's your budget (in GBP)?
Berry,
We enjoyed our stay at the Rick Steves recommended Marlborough House https://www.marlborough-house.net Take a look at the website to view room options. I think all of the rooms are upstairs if that is a concern (no elevator).
The B&B is not in the center of town, but is short walk to the main attractions. Since you are traveling in November, be sure to bring a good umbrella.
Although we didn't have a car, I noticed a few parking spots in front of the B&B. Owner/host, Peter, has lived in Bath his entire life and is happy to answer your questions as well as give you good information about traveling to/from Bath.
Do you really need a car? The rail station is right in the centre of Bath - as shown on the map with the red arrows interlocked 'Bath Spa’.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.383688,-2.3603114,2234m/data=!3m1!1e3!5m1!1e1
I agree that large rooms, central location and parking in Bath seems like one of these situations where you can pick one or two, but not all. And I also have to ask, why do you have a car and do you really need it? However, Hilton at Walcot street might be an option.
A year ago we stayed at the Travelodge Waterside and found it quite satisfactory. The foot bridge across the river puts you right into downtown.
@berry would be nice for you to share where you stayed.
The Brooks Guesthouse is a great B&B that has nearby parking available for a reasonable cost.
Also, don't miss the best fish and chips at the Scallop Shell.
