Castle Combe

Hi all,
After helpful tips from many on this forum, as w eare short on time we have decided to skip oxford this time. We plan to use Bath as a base and do Bath/stonehenge. This also allows us to fit a cotswold village. Castle Combe is the closest. Is this worth a visit ?
Thanks

It's a very pretty village that has a small church and a manor house. It's been used as a setting in numerous movies and TV shows. Unless you stop to eat or drink in the pub, an hour is all you really need to see the entire village.

Are you going to have a car? Even so, perhaps a one day tour of the Cotswolds with MadMax Tours?

We went there on our Mad Max tour, in addition to other locations. We didn’t want to rent a car for the day and the Mad Max Stonehenge, etc. tour was as excellent. They allowed enough time in each place in my opinion.

We did the Mad Max Stonehenge-Avebury-Cotswold one day tour (from Bath) as well. That gave us enough to see. Yes Castle Combe was one of the stops. And it was enough time, as there's nothing to do there but have a peaceful scenic stroll. We saw plenty of thatched roofs along the way. But book MM early as its populart.
