CarJet.com and Easirent.com WARNING !! SCAMMERS !! Never Again !! .
I rented a car from CarJet.com ( paid for it in full +insurance ) for collection on 29/06/2019 from Birmingham Airport at 12.30 .
The flight was delayed by 3.5 hrs from Dublin and therefore I was unable to get to Birmingham on time.
I rang Easirent.com when I arrived at Birmingham ( as instructed ) and it took them 50 mins to arrive and was then asked to go to their depot to collect the car.
I ( and my family ) proceeded to collect the car from Easirent.com Birmingham and I was told by Easirent.com representative , You are over 2 hours late and the car has been given to another customer
I asked , was this stipulation on the Terms & Conditions
, and got no reply!.
I requested another car therefore and I was told, The money you paid for the Car Hire is non refundable as you are over 2 hours late collecting it , so therefore you can book another car but you must PAY for it AGAIN
, which I refused!
I rang Head Office of CarJet.com and was told the same. Sorry but should you want another car you must PAY for it AGAIN
I had 4 family members with me and all the luggage and had no alternative but to get a taxi from Easirent Depot to my hotel .
I have checked the Booking with CarJet and can not see any reference to being late collecting the car.
Do Not Hire From This Company !!! SCAMMERS !!!
First time poster describing the oh so horrible conduct of a rental agency. The exclamation points say it all. So, what did the Terms and Conditions actually say about being more than 2 hours later than your scheduled pickup time?
Are you saying that you had to pay for a car twice, in full? Are there no other car rental companies in Birmingham? Have you followed up with this company to settle this matter? Did you research the company before you rented? Have you challenged the credit card charges?
The T&Cs of Easirent itself indicate that a booked vehicle would only be kept for 4 hours and less at peak periods. However, the contract here would be whatever Carjet.com offered, which don't seem to be available without going through a booking
Oh geez.........
I use Easirent every time I go now, and have had zero problems EVER with them.
This is at Heathrow though.
Wonder if you can submit something with the airline to help out?
Sounds like a reason to use a major rental car company like Avis, Hertz, Europecar, etc. if something goes wrong, it’s easier to have the issue addressed.

Sounds like a reason to avoid "too good to be true" prices. Prices that are significantly cheaper than the major competitors is pretty much a red flag and definitely a reason to use caution (or avoid completely).
The OP has posted the same warning in several other travel forums and received a few robust replies.
There are many, many complaints on another travel forum about Easirent, they seem to have the same business model as Green Motion (and they're very bad).
