Hello.
We want to pick up a car in Cheltenham and the best option I can find is in Gloucester. Have I missed something? it will require another train ride. I am about to book with Europcar.
I just read the post about picking up a car in Oxford and it doesn't help me unless we move our train reservations.

Enterprise have a depot in Cheltenham open until 2pm on a Saturday. They specialise in serving smaller towns like Cheltenham.
They will or should pick you up from the Railway Station.
EDIT. I forgot to mention that I found 2 options for car rental and Europcar requires us to get to Gloucester, but Enterprise allows us to pick up in Cheltenham. But Europcar is soo much less expensive. Has anyone else experienced the big difference in cost between the two?

It really is no big deal if you have to catch a train from Cheltenham to Gloucester. Just show up at the station, buy the one way ticket for £6.30 and wait for the next train and hop on board. The trains are roughly every 20 minutes and the journey takes about 10 minutes.
If you are arriving from London, the train will call at Gloucester before Cheltenham. If you are arriving from Birmingham/the north, some trains (Cardiff bound) call at Gloucester after Cheltenham.
