Rick recommends an itinerary with a one way car rental from Bath to York and the rest of the trip by train. I can’t find a rental car company that will do this? Anybody else have success? Thanks.

I searched for this arrangement as well with no luck. Instead, we are picking up a rental car at Heathrow, going to Bath and through the Cotswolds, then dropping the car off in Leeds, then train to York. We would have relied on the trains except we want a car for the Cotswolds.

after more investigation I was able to find a one-way rental car from Bath to York. It is through Enterprise Car and Van Hire. This appears to be an affiliate of Enterprise, but the web search for this company will get you to a web site different than the "usual" Enterprise website.
