We will be staying a few days in Bath after our Best of South of England Tour coming up soon, we have booked a day trip to the Cotswolds and we are looking at either chartering a small canal boat for the day or maybe just take one of the little 2 hour boat tours these all leave from Bath or nearby, has anyone done any of these and any advice?
Just an update, rented a cute little 24 ft canal boat called the Tinka from Kennet and Avon canal boat day hire, so easy to handle, charming boat, beautiful cruise towards Bradford on Avon 2 aqueducts, 2 swing bridges and a great little pub The Cross Guns to tie up and have lunch at. Day was wonderful owner Richard put fresh milk tea and coffee on boat and even gave us ride back to Bath Hotel Boat rental is in village of Bathampton a few miles from Bath. Slowly putting along full day took about 7 hours
Thanks for the update. Great to know it worked out and you enjoyed the experience.
How fun! I know my sister would love this. I am bookmarking your post.
