We will be in London for five days and then going to the countryside for two days. The last night we are staying at Clivenden but I would like a recommendation of hotel near Blenheim Palace. Thanks in advance.

Blenheim Palace and gardens will take up a full day as there is so much to do and see there.
Are you planning to spend any time in Oxford? That would be another full day with the different colleges, Pitt Rivers Museum (wonderful Victorian museum - you'll never believe what it contains!) Magdalene Deer Park, Botanic Gardens, Christ Church Meadow, go for a walk along the river or canal...

We had very good experiences staying in Woodstock near Blenheim Palace at The Feathers and The Bear. Very nice hotel stays.

You may want to do a walking tour of Oxford. Visit the Tourist Information Center. You can pick up maps and this is where walking tours start. Don't miss the excellent Ashmolean Museum.
