I'm looking for the best way to get from Cambridge to Heathrow airport. We will have a time crunch as we will be taking a flight from Heathrow to Marseille that day. Has anyone take a flight from either Cambridge or Oxford to Heathrow. I'm trying to find out if you can, but it's been a challenge.
And this one of the reasons I plan out trips months ahead.

According to www.nationalrail.co.uk, it's 2 hours with train to King's Cross, tube to Paddington, Heathrow Express train to Heathrow.
Unless you're leaving too early for it to work, I would recommend the direct coach, as despite the risk of traffic delays it will be much easier than having to make at least one train/underground transfer. Leave plenty of time, though.
What time is your flight to France?
Why don't you fly from Stansted airport to Marseille? Stansted is a lot nearer to Cambridge (the same side of London) and there is a direct train service.
