This article from today's New York Times will bring a smile to the lips of anyone who has visited Cambridge - https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/15/world/europe/cambridge-england-cows.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=image&module=second-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news
I can't read that link but if it is about the cows which graze in town, I've loved them for years (different ones now, of course).
They, the Fitz, the Pepys Library and Fitzbillies are what keep me returning there time after time.
Nigel I'm sorry the link will not go through for you , it is fascinating and charming . Two of the breeds referred to in the article are Longhorns and Red Polls .
That was interesting. It's amusing that I have to read the New York Times to learn quite a bit about cows that live a few miles from where I'm sitting. They certainly do enhance the city. For photographs, I recommend the college backs (Queen's Road) to get a cow with King's College chapel in the background.
